I love jazz and blues probably more than any other music genre. So many times the music is right with me, playing to my mood as if it's a live thing, a friend, a lover. What brought this on at 9:00 tonight is listening to
Cassandra Wilson perform "Death Letter Blues". It's a bit over 15 minutes of medicine for the soul. I'll be buying this one cuz I love it so much. You may only get a preview here but if so, go to NPR and enjoy the entire set free...that's right, no purchase necessary.

Dance around the world in photographs
We humans are natural dancers - bodies in rhythmic motion completely alone, or in groups large and small, or in front of an audience. Dancers can communicate ideas, preserve cultural identities, strengthen social bonds, or just have a lot of fun. Collected here is another recent group of photographs of us, human beings around the world, professional and amateur, in motion for all of the reasons above and more
