My early morning shooting didn't turn out well. The skies were overcast and the mistrial was blowing. But, not to be deterred I saw a lovely old fig tree in an abandoned garden with a few nice plump figs actually untouched by insects so I went to investigate. The photo you see is one of many. It's slightly out of focus in its original size but at 15% it works fine for a blog entry. It's useless as a stock image due to focus and noise issues.
I did manage to get a few in focus but not without using my flash. I didn't bring my tripod so even with higher ISO I had problems. These figs tend to be undercover of huge green leaves as well which doesn't help matters.
A tout à l'heure

Hello! Just came across your blog from a comment that you left - this is a great photo! Looking forward to seeing more of your photos!
Hey! I appreciate you taking a look and leaving a comment. I was shocked to see a visit so soon. ;)
So glad you like the fig image. It could be better but it will do in a rush as they say.
Hello MB,
Love the FIGUE! Where are you catching figs that look almost ripe? All I see are green ones and I am waiting so I can make some fig jam this summer!!
Hi Leesa!
There is this old abandoned rundown house not far from where I live with two huge fig trees. I was surprised as well to find them ripening already but they are. Maybe because the winter was mild.
I live in Eyguieres btw...close to Marseilles.
